Futura is a cloud-based accounting and financial document management app developed by SJPR, designed for individuals, freelancers, and businesses of all sizes. It centralises your entire financial document workflow — from creating and sending invoices to capturing supplier bills and storing bank statements — in a single, secure platform.

Here’s how it works in three steps:

  • Create an account and choose your subscription plan (Tech or Complete).
  • Start capturing or creating invoices and bills — by scanning physical documents with your camera, uploading files, or building them from scratch in the app.
  • Manage and sync your financial data across mobile and desktop, with optional integration to QuickBooks for seamless accounting workflows.

Futura uses encrypted cloud storage to keep all your documents secure, accessible, and automatically organised at all times.

Can I use the app on both mobile and desktop?

Yes — Futura is a fully cross-platform application, available on both mobile (iOS and Android) and desktop (web browser), with a consistent experience across all devices.

Your data is synced in real time via encrypted cloud infrastructure, meaning you can:

  • Capture a bill on your phone while out of the office
  • Review and approve invoices from your desktop
  • Access your full financial document history from any device, at any time

There is no need to manually sync or export data between devices — everything updates automatically.

Do I need accounting experience to use the app?

No accounting experience is required. Futura has been designed with an intuitive interface that guides users through every step, regardless of their financial background.

What is the Catch a Bill feature?

Catch a Bill is one of Futura’s core features that allows you to digitise, organise, and track all your supplier bills and expenses with minimal effort.

  • Snap & capture: Use your phone camera or upload from your gallery to scan any bill. The app automatically extracts key data — invoice number, date, and amount — using smart OCR technology.
  • Bulk actions: Process multiple bills at once, saving significant time during month-end reconciliation.
  • Supplier automation: Recurring bills from the same supplier are automatically recognised and categorised.
  • Auto-posting: Captured bills are automatically posted to the correct categories, reducing manual data entry.
  • Submit by email: Forward bills directly to your Futura inbox and the system captures and registers them automatically.

All captured bills are securely stored in the cloud and can be retrieved, filtered, and exported at any time.

How does the integration with QuickBooks work?

Futura offers a full, bidirectional integration with QuickBooks, one of the world’s leading accounting platforms. This is particularly useful for businesses and accountants already using QuickBooks as their primary bookkeeping tool.

The integration allows you to:

  • Automatically sync invoices and bills captured in Futura directly into your QuickBooks account — no manual data entry needed.
  • Centralise your financial data across both platforms, keeping records consistent and up to date.
  • Reduce duplication by eliminating the need to enter the same transaction in two separate systems.

Does Futura store my invoices securely?

Yes — security is a foundational aspect of Futura’s infrastructure. All financial documents and data stored within the platform are protected using encryption at rest and in transit.

  • Encrypted cloud storage: All invoices, bills, and statements are encrypted and stored securely.
  • Access control: Only authorised users within your account can view or manage your documents.
  • Multi-user management: The Tech Plan supports up to 2 users, with additional users available at £1.99/month each — each with their own controlled access.
  • Privacy protection: Your financial data is never shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
What subscription plans are available?

Futura currently offers three plans:

  • Tech Plan — £4.99/month (first year) or £54.89/year for up to 2 users. Includes: snap expenses, snap invoices, line item extraction, supplier automation, bulk actions, auto-posting, mobile app, and integrations. Additional users are £1.99/month each.
  • Complete Plan — Custom pricing, contact the team for a quote. Includes everything in Tech, plus accountant’s support, regular management accounts, online courses, business and tax strategy guidance.
  • Advanced Plan — Coming soon. Register your interest on the website to be notified at launch.

All plans include full access to the Futura app across mobile and desktop.

Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?

Yes — you can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from within your account settings.

  • Switching to annual: You immediately benefit from the reduced rate of £54.89/year. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
  • Switching to monthly: The change applies at the end of your current annual billing period.
  • Promotional pricing: The £4.99/month rate applies for the first year on the Tech Plan. Standard pricing applies upon renewal.

Is there a free trial period?

Futura offers a promotional introductory rate on the Tech Plan — currently £4.99/month for the first year, which gives new users access to the full feature set at a significantly reduced cost during their first 12 months.

To get started: visit futura.world, click “Get Started Now”, select the Tech Plan, and complete your registration. You can begin using all features immediately upon account activation.
